Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Gratitude Diary app (the "Service") provided by the Gratitude Diary Dev Team (Logblock) (the "Operator"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Article 1 — Purpose

These Terms define the rights, obligations, and other necessary matters between the Operator and users with respect to the use of the Service.

Article 2 — Definitions

1. "Service" refers to the Gratitude Diary app and any related features provided by the Operator.
2. "User" refers to any person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
3. "Content" refers to all material created by a user within the Service, including gratitude diary entries and text.
4. "Premium Service" refers to additional features made available through a paid subscription or one-time purchase.

Article 3 — Effect and Amendment of Terms

1. These Terms take effect when posted within the Service or otherwise communicated to users.
2. The Operator may amend these Terms for reasonable cause. Any changes will be announced via in-app notice or email at least 7 days before they take effect.
3. If you do not agree to the amended Terms, you may discontinue use of the Service and delete your account.

Article 4 — Account Registration

1. You may register using your email address or via social login (Google, Apple).
2. You must provide accurate information and must not use another person's identity or credentials.
3. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. The Operator is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to safeguard your credentials.
4. You may delete your account at any time from the App's settings.

Article 5 — Service Features

The Operator provides the following features.

• Writing and saving daily gratitude entries (up to 3 per day)
• Calendar view of gratitude records
• Statistics dashboard (streaks, XP, levels, badges)
• Gratitude reminder notifications
• Automated sentiment and keyword analysis (for all users)
• Premium subscription features: ad removal, detailed statistics, AI monthly insights and daily gratitude recommendations (requires separate consent)
• Ad removal (one-time purchase): removes banner ads

Article 6 — AI Feature Consent

1. AI insights and gratitude recommendations are available only to premium subscribers who have provided separate consent.
2. To use AI features, your gratitude diary text is transmitted to Google LLC (Gemini API). Transmitted data is not used for model training (Google's official policy). Data is transmitted transiently during each API call, and only the generated responses are stored in Firestore.
3. You may revoke consent at any time via [Settings > Revoke AI Feature Consent] in the App. Upon revocation, AI features are immediately disabled, while your subscription and ad removal benefits remain active.
4. AI features are available only to users aged 14 and older.

Article 7 — Paid Services and Payments

1. Premium features are purchased through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Subscriptions automatically renew each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
3. You may cancel a subscription through the subscription management page of the relevant app store. You will retain access to the Service for the remainder of the current billing period after cancellation.
4. Refunds are subject to the refund policy of the applicable app store.
5. One-time purchases (e.g., ad removal) are permanent once completed and are not eligible for cancellation.

Article 8 — User Obligations

You must not engage in any of the following conduct.

• Impersonating another person or providing false information
• Creating content that violates applicable law or public order
• Disrupting normal operation of the Service or making unauthorized access attempts to the system
• Using the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Interfering with other users' enjoyment of the Service

Article 9 — Ownership of Content

1. All Content you create within the Service, including gratitude diary entries, remains your intellectual property.
2. The Operator will not use your Content for any purpose other than delivering the Service to you.
3. When you delete your account, all associated Content will also be permanently deleted.

Article 10 — Service Interruption and Changes

1. The Operator may temporarily suspend the Service for unavoidable reasons such as system maintenance, equipment replacement, or technical issues.
2. The Operator may modify or discontinue all or part of the Service, and will provide at least 30 days' notice within the Service before doing so.
3. The Operator bears no obligation to compensate users for changes to or termination of free features.

Article 11 — Advertising

1. Non-personalized ads may be displayed within the Service.
2. Users who have purchased a premium subscription or the ad-removal product will not see ads.
3. The Operator is not responsible for any third-party services accessed through advertisements.

Article 12 — Disclaimer of Liability

1. The Operator is not liable for any failure to provide the Service due to force majeure events such as natural disasters or server outages beyond our control.
2. The Operator is not responsible for service disruptions caused by your own actions.
3. The Operator makes no warranty regarding the accuracy or reliability of Content created by users.

Article 13 — Privacy

The handling of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Article 14 — Dispute Resolution

1. In the event of a dispute arising from use of the Service, the Operator and the user will endeavor to resolve it through good-faith negotiation.
2. If a resolution cannot be reached through negotiation, the dispute will be governed by applicable law. The parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts located in the Operator's place of business.
